1 2/3 cups water
1/3 cup nutritional yeast
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
1/8 cup canola oil
1 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon rosemary
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Preparation:
| 1. | In a stock pot, toast the nutritional yeast and flour over a medium flame for 3 minutes until both flour and yeast are lightly brown.

| 2. | In a large frying pan, heat oil. Add the herbs, then add this mixture to toasted flour and yeast. Whisk for 3 minutes until mixture turns golden brown.

| 3. | Slowly add water and whisk until creamy.

| 4. | Add salt and pepper. Continue to whisk until smooth and creamy. Remove from heat.
